28th birthday

I celebrated my birthday in several ways.

We had lunch and cake with my family in Grand Rapids and then went outside sledding together.

We went out to eat with Brian's parents and enjoyed a night of playing with Sydney (don't ask what happened the next day! Mom was VERY sick!).

Brian also planned a spectacular date for my birthday. He wouldn't tell me anything and each event was a new surprise. We started the night at a nice restaurant downtown Grand Rapids. We walked and drove past some of the event locations from our wedding and reminisced about that wonderful day that was almost 5 years ago now. After dinner we went to the BOB and played fooseball while we waited for event number 2, which was the comedy club. We went to see Pete Lee (someone we watched on Last Comic Standing) and really enjoyed the show. From there we walked back to the car and got out our ice skates (which were hidden under the seats in the car) and skated outside at Rosa Parks Circle. It was a special skating event and every hour they had a new Griffins Player skating. This reminded us of a date we had before we were married. We had so much fun. I really enjoyed my special night out! What an amazing husband. Thanks Brian!
